3. I receive an error message during software booting up?

When loading Blancco – Data Cleaner+ or Pro to the computer memory, some problems may occur. The most common ones are listed below.

If the error shown on the screen is not listed, please contact support@blancco.com.

Output: Cannot load Blancco. Floppy disk seems to be damaged.
Description: Floppy is broken.
FIX: New floppy

Output: Cannot find a valid application image.
Description: Installation problem: some data in the floppy have been corrupted
FIX: New copy of Blancco (e.g. download new image from ASP - Service)

Output: Blancco application image damaged, md5sums does not match.
Description: Broken Blancco application image, which means data has been corrupted
FIX: New copy of Blancco (e.g. download new image from ASP - Service)

Output: Not enough low memory
Description: Not enough memory under the 1M area. This usually means that extended bios data area (XBDA, EBDA) is too large
FIX: Check BIOS options and if you cannot make more space into extended memory area, contact
support@blancco.com
