13. What kind of reports does Blancco erasure software provide?
The software generates a report of the data erasure with a log of bad sectors and a detailed hardware asset list, which can be exploited when reusing the computer.
The hardware component list includes the following information:
• Computer details (brand, model, memory, processor, mother board, BIOS info, network card(s), sound card(s), floppy drive(s), CD/DVD –drive(s), number of USB/Fire Wire ports, SCSI/RAID adapter(s), hard disk information)
• Erasure information (status, method, overwritings)
• Other information (company/organization, person, date, time)
• Info fields (5 additional fields for extra information)
